Hello! I'm Chris, a Software Enginner based in Boston, MA. I have a passion for developing software and encountering
new and exciting challenges. Through the course of my professional career and through working on personal projects,
I've been designing, building, and delivering exceptional code across different technology stacks.
Currently, I am working as a full-stack web developer (although mainly back-end focused) at Bamboo Rose, a wonderful
startup-like B2B software company, building a Multi-Enterprise PLM Platform.
Outside of software, I am an active individual and enjoy spending a lot of time studying and practicing various forms
of martial arts. I had previously co-founded a self defense studio where I was teaching students practical street self-defense,
combining styles from Boxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai and Systema.
Starting as an Assosciate Software Engineer up until my current role as a Senior Engineer, I worked as a full stack web developer, designing, developing, deploying, and testing many different software solutions within the company. I have been one of the leads of the architecture design and implementation of the new Food and Formulation PLM system; designing, developing, and integrating with internal and external systems. I have consistently and efficiently worked with the product management team and directly with the customer to gather requirements and design systems and solutions around them, and working closely with the UX and QA teams to iterate and build. I continuously perform and complete all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle; from requirements gather, designing, writing and delivering technical documentation, building, iterating, deploying, and testing.
Co-founded United Self Defense, a local small business for teaching practical street self defense. I worked with other co-founders to design a business plan and curriculum for operating a self defense and fitness facility. I developed the company website using Laravel PHP framework and AngularJS. Designed the UI using PHP and Bootstrap CSS library and handled the main admin section which implemented mass emailing for updates, email templates, admin user management, and more. I onboarded new students and prospects, teaching basic and intermediate movements following our curriculum.
Created an independent Java web application for customer use to interface with the main product. Worked independently as an engineer, while communicating with Technical Project Support to focus on testing, debugging, and updating. Created documentation and assisted with customer deployment.
Created and updated code in C to comply with the requirements and design for Engine Control Systems. Designed and implemented change requests for various stages along the Software Development Lifecycle. Wrote and performed testing and verification procedures and scripts to ensure code complies with requirements. Created various automation metrics to analyse documents and data and produce visuals (distributed to and used by multiple suppliers of UTC worldwide).
Graduated Wentworth Institute of Technology (located in Boston, MA) in August 2016 with a Bechelors Degree in Computer Science, and a minor in Business Management. I maintained an overall GPA of 3.81 and consistently made Dean's List each semester.
